“I wanted to create project that centred around mental health especially from the point of view of a black man, or men in general who often suffer in silence because of shame or the mask some have to wear too seem untouchable. Men by far have the highest rates of suicide and I think if we can normalize having the conversation we can save lives.

Having struggled with dark thoughts myself, I turned to music as a way to express myself and to heal. This EP explores the topics of mental health, addiction, falling in and out of love, losing my faith in God and then finding it again by facing the issues head on.

I wanted this project to be a ray of hope in the dark and that if you hang on, things will always get better.”
